Blog Post #4: Final Demo Reel, Render, VLNEXT, and Integration 04/22/2024
Final Demo Reel
The background music was replaced with something more fitting that one may hear in a lobby or lounge. Placeholder photos were replaced with the final compositions, as well as new subjects added for other completed areas. Background motion through the brand shapes was also a new addition.
The organization of the demo reel was based on displaying the final works first, then the development pictures, as well as displaying the various funding and networking events we attended.
Final Brand Render
The final/additional brand render is now complete as a 3840x2160 image (Though Blogger will cause for it to be lossy).
I was able to create a 3D-brand render through Blender 4.0 and the Cycles rendering engine. I am very satisfied with this composition; I had created a 3D-model of the Junietta logo, modified it to have varying layers of height dependent on color, and dedicated a good portion of the time perfecting the lighting. A special "Shade Smooth" technique was applied to the spheres surrounding the 3D logo.
While initially I had wanted to create a 3D render of the synthesizer product, the founder and chief marketing officer believed that we are not yet ready for a 3D render, as they are still hard at work modifying the design and dimensions of the product. Therefore, we will revisit a render of the synthesizer itself at a later time when the dimensions are finalized and when we release the later prototypes to feedback groups, in the next coming months. Speaking of the coming months...
University of Cincinnati VLNEXT
As mentioned in the last side blog post, Junietta was accepted into the University of Cincinnati Venture Lab NEXT accelerator program. Over the course of this summer we will meet with industry professionals and vetern entrepreneurship mentors to accelerate and assist our company and synthesizer product. We were given an additional $10,000 of non-dilutive funding, bringing our 2024 funding to a total of $22,250! Amazing. Below is a promotional image from University of Cincinnati's LinkedIn, with the last three portraits being the founder, cheif marketing officer, and myself. Other portraits shown are fellow startups in the area who were also accepted (Total of 5 accepted startups including Junietta).
Portfolio Integration
The last deliverable I had detailed was a dedicated showcase website page on my personal portfolio. I have finalized my new portfolio, which has the full integrated project for Junietta's branding so far. I was even able to claim my very own web domain for a clean website address.
Feel free to visit the portfolio at:

Below you can see the screenshots of the Junietta Branding portfolio project on my website.
The entire portfolio website is compatible with mobile and desktop devices, and features my proudest works as well as company experiences (Such as 333 Pictures).
My experience during this documentation process has been phenomenal. Not only have I learned more about corporate workflows and professional branding, I have strengthened my digital design skills even farther than I could have imagined. My portfolio is crisp, precise, and clean, ready for the full-time workforce, and Junietta has been well-received all-around so far, and taking in much more funding than we anticipated.
Getting to meet with professionals at the UC NVP and being accepting into the VLNEXT program will only give Junietta and myself even more key takeaways and networking opportunities.
Refining my 2D and 3D skills during this project through style guidelines, workflows, and team collaboration has really bolstered my continuing time as Junietta's Lead Designer, and I look to the future in excitement for what is to come.
Thank you, reader, for keeping up with my blog, reading into my works, and supporting my student and career endeavors.
Thank you,
Stefan
